Annual General Meeting 2017 15th July 2017

This year’s AGM was held during Family Camp on 15th July. Family Camp represents the ideal opportunity to hold this meeting given that we have a good representation of parents and leaders from across all sections. This is an overview of the event. Full minutes and a copy of the Annual Report are attached.
The purpose of the AGM is to report on the activities of the Group Executive Committee (also known as the Parent’s Support Group) over the course of the year and to elect or re-elect members to serve on the Committee for the coming year.
The meeting was led by John Holton (Group Scout Leader) and David Tipton (Group Chairman). During the course of the meeting the Group Accounts were reviewed and formally adopted and a brief overview of section activities given.

John and Alison Holton remain as members of the committee as Group Scout Leader and Assistant Group Scout Leader. Julie Shepherd-Smith has stepped-down as Secretary but will continue to serve on the committee. Finally, a big, warm thank you to Ian Christensen who is stepping down after seven years of service as Treasurer
