Ages 6 to 8

Welcome to our Beavers page.  We have lots of fun playing games, listening to stories, making things, learning about nature and lots more.  We really like have adventures outside and sometimes go camping or have sleep-overs which are great.

Our leader is called Wendy (we call her Reindeer) and she has an assistant called Bonnie (who we call Snake). They are helped out by Angela (Owl) and Shailesh (Hedgehog). Our Young Leaders are Toby (Wolf) and Edward (Fox).

Beavers is for girls and boys.  You can join us when you are six and when you are eight you move up to Cubs.  You might be able to join a bit earlier – just ask our leaders.

Our Beaver Colony meets at the United Reformed Church (URC) in West Street (behind M&S) on Mondays from 6:15-7:15pm during term time

Beaver Scouts are our youngest members. They usually meet weekly to take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities.

They will also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it’s a real adventure for them.
